Electricity

Electricity has been around now for a number of years and has allowed us to power our homes, businesses, and more. Without it, our days would end much sooner and our nights would be much longer. Today, we live in the most connected world there has ever been. None of this would be possible without electricity. Our bodies run on electricity too. Our brains consume most of it to power the rest of our bodies. When electrical wires get old they begin to fray. As they fray they run the chance of arcing. When that occurs the possibility of a fire happens. This is not much different than the process in your body. Your spinal cord and nerves are just like electrical wires carrying the electrical impulse to and from the different organs. If there is any pressure on the nerves or spinal cord, caused by a subluxation, it’s very similar to frayed wires. Furthermore, if this pressure is not released and corrected, you risk the possibility of a fire, or having certain organs shut down where the nerves normally run. This is why chiropractic care is so vital for everyone. It helps maintain the electrical wiring inside your body. You need an electrician to take care of your wires and make sure nothing will cause a fire. You need a chiropractor to make sure nothing in your body is going to cause a fire. Stay healthy my...

Motion

Everything alive is in motion. Humans constantly move about, ants, dogs, cows, etc. Even the things we don’t typically think of as moving, such as, trees, are moving. Maybe not on the surface but when you go under the soil you see the roots growing, constantly moving and searching to find water. Also, the leaves are sprouting and growing, while the tree is constantly moving/growing toward the sun. Movement is life and without it we die. When you look at humans in a hospital, the ones moving around are generally the ones who will be leaving the hospital soon. However, when you see someone who is bed-ridden and not moving, they are usually walking a tightrope between life and death. Our spines are no different. Motion brings health and healing to the entire body. If the spine is not moving, then entire bodily function shuts down. Organs don’t work and symptoms soon follow. Restoring motion to the spine allows the body’s physiology to function better and is why chiropractic is so important to everyone’s...

Inside – Out

Healing in our body works from the inside out. What does that mean? Think about when you have a cut. Our skin doesn’t just magically come together to become one again. First, our blood has to coagulate. Once it stops running and begins to stick together, a scab forms. Once the scab has covered the wound scar tissue begins to form underneath. For a few weeks while scar tissue has been building, the scab is removed and like magic, our skin is in one piece again. Our nervous system works the same way. All electrical impulses start in our brain and run down the spinal cord on the inside of our bodies. From there the signals go out our nerves to every single, cell, tissue, and organ in the body. It happens no other way! Unfortunately, many people opt for what we call an “outside – in” approach to healing. This is where a drug, pill, potion, or lotion is used to “fix” a problem. However, when it comes to the body, true healing can’t happen until the brain communicates with the part of the body that is ill or injured. A drug, pill, potion, or lotion won’t cause this process to happen. It happens naturally, from the inside-out, it’s the only...

Back Doctors?

Most people think of a chiropractor is a back and neck doctor. Which makes sense, because when you have back pain or neck pain, people typically go see the chiropractor. However, this assumption would be incorrect. Chiropractors are very good at helping with back and neck pain, but it’s not what they specialize in. That’s because chiropractors are doctors of the nervous system. The nervous system is made up of your brain, spinal cord, and nerves that come out from it. It just so happens the spinal cord and nerves run from your neck down to your tailbone. If your nervous system was housed in your arm, then chiropractors would most likely be thought of as arm doctors, because that’s where they would be focusing most of their attention. When there is pressure on your nervous system, you can sometimes have neck pain or back pain as a result. But you can also have headaches, ear infections, constipation, or digestive issues too. Your nervous system runs everything in your body. So, most patients who get adjusted notice many more benefits than just pain...
